Fitzpatrick Donnellan are a recongnised training firm with Chartered Accountants Ireland for over 20 years and offer a graduate programme for college leavers interested in pursuing a career as a Chartered Accountant and take on trainees annually to pursue their professional exams with Chartered Accountants Ireland.
We offer comprehensive training in Auditing, Accounting, Taxation and Company Secretarial compliance. Our internal structure provides specialist training to new recruits thus enhancing the future career opportunities of our recruits as we offer exposure to many areas of the professional spectrum whilst training within our firm. We believe in trainees setting high targets in exam achievement and also from a career development perspective.
We offer a comprehensive training package to trainee chartered accountants and successful applicants will receive training and practical experience in four main areas under the supervision of Senior Staff and Staff Training Partner Pat Fitzpatrick ACA:
Trainees will be exposed to all practical aspects of accounting for business’s ranging from books of original entry to preparation of sole trader accounts, management accounts, partnership accounts and Limited Company Accounts and client and in-house computerised accounting packages.
The trainees will complete audit and assurance and audit exempt assignments under the guidance of a senior (mentor) and forming part of an audit team carrying out work on site regarding our clients audit and non statutory audit work in accordance with Chartered Accountants Procedures for Quality Audit.
The training in general practice will, as part of the preparation of an audit file, audit exempt file and sole trader accounts, include responsibility for the preparation of the tax computation for each client and a draft tax return. All our current taxation compliance is computerised using sage personal tax and sage corporate tax.
Trainees will prepare annual compliance documentation and compliance documentation with regard to changes in the company for filing with the Company Registrar the Companies Registration Office.
Recruitment for Trainee Chartered Accountants to commence Training Contracts in 2019 commences in September 2018 with interviews being held in November and December 2018.
